Our story

Founded in 2013, Xsolis was born from the idea that too many unnecessary silos exist in healthcare, particularly between providers and payers. Our name is intentional because our mission is to leverage data and automation to break down silos (silos-X) and create “frictionless healthcare.”

After years with large healthcare firms, our leaders had the realization: we can create and apply industry-leading artificial intelligence and machine learning to unleash more objective truth in data to enable our customers to work smarter, not harder. At the same time, we apply these advanced technologies to serve both providers and payers, and not at the expense of one or the other.

2015

First hospital client

Xsolis brings CORTEX technology to the market, offering real-time analytics derived from EMR data to hospital utilization review (UR) staff. UR teams achieve more efficiency with case reviews and identify missed revenue opportunities.

2018

First health plan client

The first national health plan and a regional health system jointly assess medical necessity and authorize determinations guided by our proprietary Care Level Score. Our payer-provider network is now coast to coast. Providers and payers are able to jointly agree on thresholds to automate authorizations, and Precision Utilization Management is born.

2021

$75M growth investment

Brighton Park Capital invests $75M in a minority stake investment. Xsolis accelerates hypergrowth to rapidly bring innovation to its customers while enhancing the CORTEX platform and expanding functionality.

2023

Dragonfly is born

The AI platform known as CORTEX is rebranded to Dragonfly, which better represents our 360° vision, and highlights the efficient, nimble processes we offer our clients while inspiring healthcare leaders who are joining us in our mission to change the industry.
